The heat getting to you?
Well, the email said that THIS website would make a person feel better because it'd help us beat the heat. I am not sure it did that for me, but I will leave it up to you to decide for yourselves. I think it simply instilled sheer panic in me!

I'm taking lessons on commenting on my own blog! LOL
Anyhow, I have to say that I love the season but hate the gift buying thing. I used to love it and would start in August. I wonder if I should start that again to take the strain off the season?
My husband and I haven't exchanged gifts at birhtdays or Christmas in years. And we don't miss it at all. We usually make a donation to Padre Salvatore (see my website for link). We're thinking of going to visit him in Brasil for our 25th anniversary. God willing!!
ah! But you see, you all have the upper hand because I was raised in a protestant home that made everything out of giving others gifts for Christmas. I am the black sheep in our family. I think the best thing for me to do is give gift certificates as ccheryl said. That way, the stress is off me and I am sure they can find it cheaper as you say after Christmas.
I have asked for one thing in particular...to paint the family room. I dream big! LOL
I am ready to simply take life easy and not think beyond a few crafts and Mass. Family is a wonderful thing but at this point they seem to be wanting to draw my attention to them instead of Christ. I know it happens everywhere and I know I can take caer of it with love and life will again be good.
I know what you mean. Husbands and kids do not really appreciate a mom who is absorbed by anything else but them. Have you read Honora's ironing post...? :-)
