How does it seem to you?

To me, it seems as if life has, all of a sudden, sped up. There is not much time to do the things I enjoy anymore, and I seem to be away from home way too much for my liking. On top of all that, I have seasonal allergies that could knock a horse flat on his back. I think the kicker to my weekend was Friday. I went to work, cleaned 2 houses, then went to my son's football game and ran the bbq for consessions. Out of 2 games, I was there watching long enough to see my son play 3 plays. Then it was off to home to clean and cook supper. Saturday wasn't much better and I was feeling really ill that day. Sunday I was still sick and then Monday I ended up leaving at 10 a.m. and didn't get home until 8 p.m. ...Again. And it 's not just me...everyone I talk to is the same way. It seems that people just don't have the time they used to and when they have a bit of time they end up resting to restore themselves for the next run.
Is it me, or does it seem that since 9/11 life has gotten much more hectic? Are we looking at life differently than we used to? Is it just coincidence or is it an act of God? It's hard for me to find the time to meditate on Him solely, although I meditate constantly while I'm working.
Anyhow, I was just curious if anyone else has noticed that we are all like a bunch of worker bees trying to store our honey up for winter?
Ok, now I'm off again. I suppose that soon there will be a few days of rest coming, I hope.
I'll write more soon. God bless you all and I am praying that you will have some rest in your own lives.

Yes it does seem like time is speeding up. I can't accomplish nearly the amount I used to.
Now about the allergies, I don't know if you are interested in this but my mother, who had done extensive research on natural cures, told me many years ago to give my little boy vitamin C from rose hips, and two teaspoons of raw honey that was from hives within 20 miles of my home.
(the bees would have gleaned pollen from the plants in our area that my son was alergic to)
My son had the runny nose and severe hearing loss from constant ear infections.
Like most young mothers, I didn't listen to mom but took him to an 'alergy specialist' who did all the needle tests and then six months of antigen shots twice a week.
He was ok for about a month in the fall but then the runny nose started all over again.
Back to the specialist, who told me they would have to do the tests all over again.
Thats when I finally listened to my wise mother and started giving him the treatment she suggested. Within a month, there were no more runny noses. The ear infections stopped and within about three months his hearing was normal.
The lord has given us a cure for every illness. We just need to learn what they are.

I am currently revving up for a month that will not allow me to post much. I've started teaching again after a ten year break, and now my bosses at my "real job" have asked me to organize an English course every afternoon. I'll be travelling to Greece at the end of september for a week and I have to prepare my speech (gasp!) and all the graphs and other info. Plus family...school starting again, soccer season too. Oh Lord, help me!

I believe a prayer is in order here, don't you? I will look for the proper one and I will begin to pray for all of us that we will have more time to spend with Him and less battles getting to and from our jobs and smoothing out of our schedules.
Thank you Mountain Mama, I have been doing the honey already but didn't know about the rose hip C, I have been using Ester C and not having any luck. I'll head on over to the rose hip C and try it a while.
I believe that much of what I'm bothered with is more the exhaust fumes and chemicals that people pump into the air, but I know there's more to it than that. Mold (even though I live in a desert area, there are still a lot of irrigated crops) from corn smut seems to bother me extremely bad. I have gone to homeopathic drops for this and each year I see a big change but I am not over them yet. Of course, Fibromyalgia plays havoc with the immune system so it could stem from it.

desert dreamer, I would appreciate a prayer like that too. It's just non-stop, and it takes a toll, doesn't it? I kept thinking it was just me, that I was mismanaging, or something, but I see I'm in good company. Tired company, but good.

Here is a part of one of my recnt talks that I gavbe to a group of men:

"May I suggest to everyone that we should set up a place in your home or work that you can be at peace with Jesus.

"I have a very special picture of Jesus that hangs on my wall. Every morning, I go in very early, and pray the Rosary, centering my thoughts on the “Face of Jesus.”

"If you’re traveling and sitting in your hotel room and have access to your computer, you can go to www.savior.org and get a 24 hour a day, seven days a week live feed of the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Sister Briege McKenna calls it “Son Bathing!” But I strongly recommend that you pray the Rosary every single day. It will change you. It will soothe you. It will get your head screwed on straight for what’s going to hit you, to be able to take whatever’s going to blindside you throughout the rest of your busy day.

"Just take the time to talk to your brother Jesus. And more importantly, take the time to listen to what he has to say to you.

He’s right there, and he wants to talk to you. He loves you.

I'm here occasionally, not too often right now. Too many pots on the stove, I suppose. I have had to find a new cleaning partner because both boys have jobs now and I have picked up 2 more houses than I have had. I also clean an office one night a week.
Kade has football games on Fridays now so that takes extra time. I am also trying to spend what time I can caring for critters around the farm and more time in prayer. It leaves little time in the day, it seems. You'd think I would weigh 20 lbs!
Anyhow, I am still around, just not too often. How are you doing? Oh yeah, I should go check your blog and find out! LOL
Thank you for checking in on me. I need someone to do that from time to time. I might have one of those moments that nobody likes to talk about! LOL
God bless!

Hey, we're like a family right?

I certainly hope so! I need a good family as my own seems to be dwindling down a bit...brothers are all married and my own children will soon be gone. I think this is one of the hardest changes I have went through. The point when a child no longer needs mom and dad there all the time. It's good, but it's a tough change. I know I'm not the only one to go through it though and there will be better times soon.
Thank you (picture a heart here. LOL)
